Job description
Role Overview
We seek to appoint a Specialist Haematology SHO Doctor on a fixed-term 12-month contract. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, managing patients presenting with a variety of haematological cancers. A significant focus of the position is engaging in research activities encompassing clinical trials and laboratory studies. The appointed candidate will be expected to pursue an MDRes degree under the guidance of Dr Taussig, with particular emphasis on investigating arginine deprivation strategies in acute myeloid leukaemia.

Patient Care and Referral Network
The majority of clinical work originates from the South West and West London Cancer Networks. As a specialist cancer centre, the Trust receives high referral volumes for rare cancers, relapsed disease, and treatment-related complexities, including cases referred internationally. Additionally, the Trust collaborates with St George’s Healthcare NHS Trust in a shared care arrangement for paediatric oncology cases.
