Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic registered staff nurse to join the Marjory Warren Unit at Stepping Hill Hospital. This role involves delivering expert care within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on older adults and general medicine patients requiring specialist outpatient and day hospital services such as geriatric assessments, fall and stroke follow-ups, rheumatology, infusion therapies, and vascular clinics.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centred clinical care and conduct continuous assessments for those attending the unit.
  • Administer prescribed medications and intravenous therapies following established trust protocols.
  • Monitor patient health status, promptly identifying and managing any signs of deterioration.
  • Support clinics led by consultants and other specialist services operating within the unit.
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation of patient records.
  • Uphold patient safety, safeguarding standards, and clinical governance.
  • Engage in quality improvement projects, service development, and ongoing professional development.
