Role overview
The Sr. Manager, People & Culture Business Partner for Studio Marketing is a senior HR leader who works closely with marketing executives and leaders across Creative Advertising, Strategy, Publicity, Partnerships, and Events. The role is focused on building a strong employee experience and helping teams deliver major campaigns and large-scale storytelling.
In this position, you will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, converting marketing goals and audience priorities into aligned people strategies. You will collaborate with other HR professionals to make sure solutions are practical, inclusive, data-led, and consistent with Disney’s values and creative standards.
What you will do
- Develop future-focused organizational and talent strategies that reflect changing marketing models, audience behavior, and industry shifts.
- Advise leaders on organization design, team performance, leadership capability, and change management to strengthen marketing organizations.
- Lead planning and execution across workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, learning and development, performance management, succession, and retention for fast-moving marketing teams.
- Partner with teams working on campaign strategy, creative development, and audience engagement so people strategies support campaign timelines and business goals.
- Work with People & Culture centers of excellence and cross-functional marketing groups to deliver integrated HR solutions.
- Use workforce data and business insights to guide organization effectiveness, talent choices, and resource planning.
- Promote inclusive talent practices that reflect diverse audiences and support fair, equitable ways of working.
- Coach leaders to improve clarity, accountability, and overall effectiveness while navigating change in a high-pressure, high-visibility setting.
- Help create a workplace where Disney values are reflected in innovation, collaboration, inclusion, and authenticity.
Required qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in HR, organizational development, training, or talent management.
- Background as a strategic HR business partner in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Strong ability to turn business priorities into actionable people strategies.
- Deep experience with organization design, change management, and large-scale transformation.
- Proven success influencing senior leaders in an advisory role.
- Experience using workforce data and analytics to support decisions.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience supporting creative, media, or entertainment organizations.
- Familiarity with SAP, Workday, or similar HR platforms.
- Advanced education or professional certifications in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related fields.
Compensation and benefits
The expected salary range for this Burbank, CA role is $168,200 to $205,400 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on internal equity, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may also be included, along with the company’s full range of medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the level and position offered.
