Role Overview

The People Operations Specialist is key to delivering excellent support to Booking employees, acting as the primary contact for employee inquiries and administering personnel changes throughout the full employment lifecycle. The role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to enhance processes and improve operational effectiveness while maintaining an employee-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-tier resolution to employee questions within agreed service levels, objectives, and performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address complex employee-related queries needing additional guidance.
  • Manage employee data updates and changes across the hire-to-retire cycle within People Systems.
  • Ensure timely provision and proper storage of employee documentation in compliance with legal standards and company protocols.
  • Coordinate with external payroll providers to ensure accurate employee registrations with local authorities.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance current processes, systems, and tools to accommodate evolving business requests and boost efficiency.
  • Validate monthly payroll reports accurately and promptly to guarantee correct payroll distribution.
  • Perform all tasks and documentations in compliance with established procedures and applicable global and local labor laws.
  • Conduct training sessions for new hires, employees, and stakeholders focused on People Operations procedures.
  • Maintain and update HR content, guides, and documentation in partnership with relevant teams.
  • Participate as an active member in departmental projects and initiatives.
  • Oversee daily account operations and ensure smooth workflow management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2 to 3 years of practical experience in People Operations or related functions.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with various HR functions and external partners.
  • Strong familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), preferably Workday.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail accompanied by excellent analytical abilities.
  • A passion for enhancing employee service quality and streamlining organizational processes.
  • Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, dynamic working environment.
  • A proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented attitude adaptable to change.
