Role Overview

The company is seeking a highly organized and detail-focused Senior Associate in Production for the Footwear & Accessories team. The position oversees the full production cycle, including costing, purchase orders, bulk production, and delivery, while partnering closely with merchandising, design, logistics, marketing, and other internal teams.

Production & Workflow Management

• Oversee seasonal production schedules, workflows, and timelines from start to finish.
• Maintain regular communication with overseas factories to keep orders on schedule and aligned with quality and specification requirements.
• Independently and collaboratively create, update, and circulate purchase orders.
• Keep work-in-progress reports and production schedules current and accurate.
• Spot production risks early and take action to reduce delays or disruptions.
• Share updates and priorities with merchandising, marketing, operations, and other stakeholders.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and production terms with suppliers.
• Ensure production paperwork, approvals, and records are complete, consistent, and timely.
• Organize and track production-related marketing assets and launch materials.
• Review factory-submitted artwork and packaging comments, then route approvals and feedback.

Footwear Cost Management

• Track costing through the full lifecycle, from prototype stage to bulk production.
• Support the manager in cost exercises and supplier negotiations.
• Review cost breakdowns to confirm charges are accurate.
• Prepare costing materials for internal meetings and product reviews.
• Take part in product reviews and record any changes tied to design, materials, or cost.
• Highlight margin risks to merchandising and design teams during development and production.
• Enter costing details and duty rates into internal systems.
• Work with factories and logistics partners to confirm product classification and duty information.
• Partner with merchandising, sales, and planning teams to validate final buys.
• Coordinate Product Detail Sheets with factories and align with logistics/brokers on HTS and duty rates.

Footwear & Accessories Production

• Issue, revise, and maintain bulk purchase orders with ex-factory dates, delivery dates, and costing data.
• Manage seasonal factory WIP tracking, including final buys, BOMs, and delivery progress.
• Follow sample timelines for CFM, wear test, AD samples, and TOPs.
• Work with vendors each day to solve production issues as they arise.
• Monitor coordination between finished-goods suppliers and raw-material suppliers.
• Share delays, shortages, and excess quantities with internal teams and keep logistics system data accurate.
• Provide comments and approvals on CFM and TOP samples to confirm spec and quality compliance.
• Support the manager in third-party QC coordination.
• Track bulk penetration by factory and country of origin.

Bulk Materials

• Keep bulk material comments current after SMS reviews.
• Distribute bulk recaps to suppliers once purchase orders are placed.
• Coordinate material and product testing with the Compliance team.
• Review bulk material liabilities and manage payment and amortization.

Administrative Duties

• Code production invoices in Medius Flow and ensure they are submitted and paid on time.
• Own footwear style numbers and maintain setup in Fashion Flow.
• Manage color-name setup in D365.
• Confirm all style names with Legal before market launch.
• Send new vendor forms and coordinate supplier setup with Accounts Payable.
• Support setup and ongoing lifecycle management for licensed products.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in production or product development within footwear or accessories.
• Solid knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, and relevant industry standards.
• Prior experience working with overseas vendors and factories.
• Comfort using WIP reporting, purchase order systems, and costing tools.
• Strong organization and a sharp eye for detail.
• Clear cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving, deadline-driven setting.

Physical Requirements

The role involves regular sitting and frequent use of hands, speaking, and hearing. Occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and tasting or smelling may be required. The employee must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds. Close vision is required.

Compensation

The target annual salary range for this role is $85,000 to $90,000, depending on experience and expectations.
