Overview
The Specialist in Cabin Services plays a vital role in supporting the cabin crew to deliver safe, welcoming and outstanding inflight experiences. The role centers on maintaining aviation safety standards, ensuring all cabin policies, manuals, and procedures comply with both regulatory requirements and company standards. Through detailed monitoring of onboard adherence, investigation of safety reports, and conversion of insights into actionable safety enhancements, this position directly contributes to operational safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold aviation safety compliance and audit readiness by keeping manuals current, facilitating communication with cabin crew, and supporting various internal and external audits.
- Maintain and regularly update the ANR/IOSA compliance matrix within designated deadlines.
- Assist in audit planning and coordination of documentary evidence with stations and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct inflight compliance monitoring through observation of cabin crew safety practices, identifying deficiencies and ensuring closure.
- Support regulatory approvals related to ANR by evaluating risks and initiating Hazard Identification and Risk Management processes.
- Analyze safety data and reports, lead safety meetings, and implement improvement initiatives aimed at reducing incidents.
- Manage Crew Reports ensuring timely collection and follow-up.
- Lead incident investigations promptly, provide safety-related insights and coordinate corrective and preventive action implementation with relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee timely safety reporting and maintain accurate safety documentation and audit evidence.
- Contribute to operational efficiency by assisting in administrative duties, recruitment processes, and digitalisation projects.
Qualifications and Skills
- Background in aviation operations, safety/compliance management, policy or procedure formulation, quality assurance, or related fields.
- Solid understanding or quick adaptability to regulatory compliance and audit standards such as ANR, IOSA, and SMS.
- Proven capability to draft clear, precise documentation, reports, and updates to policies or manuals with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong analytical aptitude for interpreting safety data, detecting trends, and translating findings into concrete safety actions.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and coordination abilities across departments.
Additional Advantageous Experience
- Direct experience supporting aviation audits, including evidence management within airlines.
- Familiarity with cabin safety operations, inflight procedures, incident investigation, and risk assessments like HIRM.
- Experience designing safety awareness campaigns or initiatives that enhance operational safety outcomes.
- Knowledge of fatigue risk management principles and relevant reporting mechanisms.
