Positions and Contract Types
Opportunities include both short-term locum roles and long-term permanent employment across metropolitan tertiary hospitals and regional/rural centers throughout NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA, NT, ACT, and TAS. Part time and job share arrangements are considered in some roles.
Key Locations and Role Highlights
- Consultant Paediatrician in Sale, VIC: A Level 4 Obstetric service with 24-hour inpatient and ED, handling about 430 births and approximately 650 paediatric admissions annually with outreach services provided. Up to 1.0 FTE available with part time applications welcomed.
- Clinical Director Emergency Medicine in Warrnambool, VIC: Lead a busy emergency department seeing over 25,000 presentations yearly including major trauma cases. Role combines 50% clinical duties with 50% clinical leadership responsibilities.
- Specialist Anaesthetists: Opportunities spread across Melbourne, Brisbane, regional Victoria and Queensland.
- Consultant Psychiatrist in Melbourne: Provide clinical leadership and high-quality psychiatric services as part of a large metropolitan public health service with a broad clinical and community focus. Positions available part-time or full-time.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Applicants must hold full Specialist or General Medical Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Fellowship or recognized equivalent qualifications depending on specialty (e.g., FRACP, FANZCA, FRANZCP, FRACS, FACEM).
- For junior registrars: PGY4+ doctors from UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, New Zealand or Australia with current medical registration from a comparable authority may apply.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills are necessary.
- Capability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and deliver clinical governance and leadership.
