Job description
About the role
PrizeCart is hiring a freelance social media coordinator to help shape the brand’s online presence. The company is an early-stage shopping rewards startup creating a playful, visually appealing, social-first identity around online shopping, prizes, lifestyle content, and the brands customers already know and love.
PrizeCart’s platform rewards shoppers for buying from favorite online stores, with free reveals that can unlock instant prizes, golden tickets, and larger rewards. The company works with established fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and retail brands, and this role will support the content strategy behind that ecosystem.
This opportunity is best suited to someone who follows TikTok and Instagram closely, understands fashion and influencer culture, enjoys shopping at brands like Meshki, Glassons, Showpo, White Fox, Princess Polly, Beginning Boutique, Cotton On, and Adore Beauty, and has a strong feel for what makes social content engaging.
You do not need to have a large audience, but you should be comfortable appearing on camera, have strong creative instincts, and ideally already be building your own TikTok or Instagram profile.
What you will do
- Create around 5–6 short-form videos each week for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
- Develop content around prize announcements, winner moments, lifestyle scenes, and online shopping themes.
- Produce brand-focused clips featuring PrizeCart partner labels.
- Film quick, native-style TikTok content in a lo-fi format when needed.
- Work on more polished content shoots at the Port Melbourne office studio setup.
- Use trends, hooks, reactions, and skit-style ideas to keep content relevant and engaging.
- Help define the look and feel of the PrizeCart social media presence.
- Serve as one of the on-camera personalities representing the brand.
Work style and setup
PrizeCart has a small studio arrangement at its Port Melbourne office, so some content will be shot there with stronger lighting, framing, and direction. Other pieces will be more spontaneous, fast-moving, and native to TikTok or Instagram.
Who this role suits
The company is looking for someone who is Melbourne-based and able to travel to Port Melbourne for filming. The ideal candidate is confident on camera, has a strong personal style, stays current with social media and influencer trends, and can produce content that feels fun, polished, aspirational, and still authentic.
This role is a strong fit for someone who can stay organized, create content consistently each week, and represent a growing startup in a natural, engaging way. Someone with their own active TikTok or Instagram account is preferred.
The position would suit a person who naturally understands the kind of content audiences already enjoy around shopping hauls, outfits, beauty, lifestyle, and trend-led videos.
Pay and time commitment
- Approximate workload: 10 hours per week.
- Pay rate: $35–50 per hour, negotiable depending on experience.
- This is a part-time contractor arrangement.
- Most filming will happen in Port Melbourne.
- Some planning, editing, and content-related work can be completed remotely.
Why join early
This is an opportunity to join a startup at an early stage and take real ownership of its social media direction. The role is not about following a rigid script; PrizeCart wants someone with strong instincts, good taste, and a creator mindset who can test ideas, learn quickly, and help shape what performs best on TikTok and Instagram. As the company grows, the scope of the role may expand as well.
Application details
Applicants should share their TikTok and/or Instagram profile, a few examples of videos they have created or appeared in, a short explanation of why they are a strong fit, their availability for roughly 10 hours per week, and confirmation that they are comfortable filming in Port Melbourne.
