Job description
About the role
PrizeCart is seeking a freelance Social Media Coordinator to help shape the public face of an early-stage shopping rewards startup. The brand is being built around a social-first identity that combines online shopping, prize-driven experiences, lifestyle content, and partnerships with well-known fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and retail labels.
In short, PrizeCart gives shoppers the ability to buy from favourite online stores and earn free reveals that may unlock instant prizes, golden tickets, and bigger rewards. The role is focused on building the content engine behind that concept.
This opportunity will suit someone who genuinely enjoys online shopping, follows TikTok and Instagram closely, understands fashion and creator culture, and often shops from brands such as Meshki, Glassons, Showpo, White Fox, Princess Polly, Beginning Boutique, Cotton On, Adore Beauty, and similar names.
You do not need a large audience of your own, but you should feel at ease on camera, have strong visual taste, understand how social platforms work, and ideally already be growing your own TikTok or Instagram account.
What you'll be creating
- Content for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
- Announcement-style posts and winner-inspired videos.
- Lifestyle shoots centred on shopping, fashion, beauty, and current online trends.
- Content featuring PrizeCart partner brands.
- Casual, lo-fi TikTok-style clips captured spontaneously.
- More polished studio content recorded at the Port Melbourne office.
- Trend-led videos, hooks, reactions, and skit-style pieces.
- Input into the overall social media look and feel of the PrizeCart brand.
- On-camera appearances as one of the recognisable brand faces.
How the content is produced
PrizeCart has a small studio setup in its Port Melbourne office, so some shoots will be more refined, with planned lighting, framing, and direction. Other pieces will be created in a quicker, more natural style that feels native to TikTok and Instagram.
Who this suits
The role is a strong fit for someone who is confident in front of the camera, has a clear interest in fashion, beauty, lifestyle content, and online shopping, and understands what makes content feel current and platform-appropriate. A strong sense of personal style and awareness of influencer and social media trends will be important, along with the ability to produce content that feels fun, polished, aspirational, and still authentic.
You should also be organised enough to consistently create weekly content, comfortable representing a growing startup, and ideally active on your own TikTok or Instagram profile.
Why join early
This is an early-stage opportunity that gives you real ownership over a brand’s social presence. Rather than following a strict script, the team wants someone with strong instincts, good taste, and a creator mindset who can test ideas quickly and help discover what works. As PrizeCart grows, the role is expected to grow too.
Additional information
This position is described as freelance and is based onsite in Port Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
No other compensation, duration, application deadline, or vacancy count is specified in the source information.
