Job description

Role overview

Fort Lauderdale United FC is looking for a Social Media & Content Manager to lead the club’s day-to-day organic presence on Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), Facebook, and YouTube. This position is focused on producing content that expands the fan community, deepens engagement with South Florida audiences, and helps shape one of the most energized supporter cultures in the USL.

What you’ll do

  • Plan and run the organic social media content schedule across all platforms.
  • Concept, film, and edit short-form vertical video every day, including Reels, TikTok clips, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Draft engaging bilingual posts in English and Spanish for social channels.
  • Be present at home and away match days to capture and publish live social coverage in real time.
  • Interact with fans, supporter groups, and community pages to strengthen online relationships.
  • Track emerging trends and turn timely moments into relevant content.
  • Work closely with the Video, Design, and PR teams on larger campaign content.
  • Share weekly updates on reach, audience growth, and engagement performance.

What we’re looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience managing social media.
  • Proven ability to create content independently, including shooting and editing vertical video.
  • Solid understanding of how Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube algorithms work.
  • Strong preference for a bilingual candidate with English and Spanish fluency.
  • Passion for soccer and awareness of South Florida’s Latin sports culture.
  • Ability to help scale an account from fewer than 10,000 followers.
  • Photography ability is a plus.

Work environment and compensation

This is a hands-on role based on-site in a fast-moving, high-growth setting. The position is expected to require around 60 hours per week across six days. The team culture emphasizes hard work, accountability, and room for advancement.

Pay ranges from $28,000 to $36,400 per year, depending on experience. In addition, the role is eligible for a performance bonus based on audience growth, engagement, content results, ticket sales, and progress toward key marketing goals.
