Role Overview
The Social Media Associate position within J.P. Morgan Wealth Management supports the U.S. Wealth Management business by overseeing and enhancing the brand's presence on social media platforms. This role is responsible for daily community interactions, managing the social media content schedule, listening to industry and audience conversations, and transforming timely cultural and audience insights into engaging, brand-aligned content opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Track activities across company-owned channels, monitor conversations earned organically, keep an eye on competitors, and stay informed on broader industry and consumer topics.
- Manage and update a comprehensive social media content calendar spanning multiple platforms; evaluate competitive environments to develop strategies that boost audience growth, interaction, and funnel traffic or conversions to company websites.
- Collaborate closely with Legal, Risk, and Controls teams to secure content approvals for social media posts, including press releases, product launches, and thought leadership.
- Create compelling, concise social media copy consistent with USWM's brand voice and aligned to the wealth management sector.
- Analyze social media performance metrics to advise on optimization, influence creative directions, and set channel-specific benchmarks.
- Develop and maintain social listening tools and dashboards to monitor discussions relevant to wealth management, partnerships, competitors, and current events.
- Work in tandem with communications, marketing, and content units to promote campaigns and initiatives effectively.
- Conceive and implement content ideas customized for each social channel.
- Identify timely cultural moments and social amplification opportunities pertinent to USWM.
- Assist social, video, and content teams by managing prompt execution tasks, including copywriting, securing approvals, reporting, and calendar coordination.
- Exhibit a strong grasp of USWM's business goals, priorities, and objectives.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in social media management, along with a Bachelor's degree.
- Proven expertise in creating social-first content from initial concept through to implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of organic trends and functionalities on platforms such as Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok; familiarity with social media management tools including Sprinklr and Zignal.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making to spot trends and growth prospects.
- Strong skills in short-form copywriting tailored to social and digital media; excellent communication abilities both verbal and written.
- Experience managing editorial calendars and coordinating multi-channel content schedules.
- Highly organized, imaginative, and cooperative with a capacity to foster relationships across teams and departments.
- Proactive in pitching ideas, solving problems, and managing projects with efficient prioritization under deadlines.
- A team-oriented professional eager to contribute, learn, and impact positively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
