In this role, you will manage a substantial new-business portfolio, serve as an early point of contact for interested prospects, and guide opportunities from first conversation through onboarding.
The position calls for a strong seller who can hold business and technical discussions with stakeholders at several levels, including CTOs, COOs, and CFOs. Success in the role depends on comfort with consultative selling, handling both straightforward and multi-stakeholder deals, and creating value in competitive environments. The role also involves shaping repeatable processes and scalable approaches that help bring more SMB customers to Pluralsight.
What you will do
- Apply the company’s sales approach consistently across opportunities.
- Create and maintain relationships at multiple levels within customer accounts and map the key contacts across each business.
- Build quarterly action plans that consider internal strengths, market conditions, and near- and long-term opportunities.
- Deliver product demos and presentations to the economic buyer.
- Prospect actively to create a healthy pipeline and develop strong prospect relationships.
- Win new business consistently at or above target.
- Work with your manager to create a territory strategy and execute against it.
- Communicate the value of Pluralsight’s solutions clearly to prospects.
- Use social selling methods to strengthen brand presence in the market.
- Gather market feedback and share insights with product and marketing teams.
- Build trust-based relationships with senior sales stakeholders.
- Manage territory activity proactively, meet KPI expectations, and keep CRM records current.
- Respond to inbound leads promptly and use value-based discovery methods to improve conversion.
- Use data to support persuasive strategic conversations with customers.
- Understand the entire customer journey and operate effectively across the full sales cycle.
What you bring
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role, such as business development or account management, within technology or software.
- A strong record of sales achievement.
- Prior experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM tool is preferred.
- Exposure to selling to decision-makers in Learning & Development, IT, or Creative functions is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong phone presence.
- Commercial awareness and financial understanding.
- A self-driven, accountable mindset with a strong team orientation.
- Strong interest in technology.
- Confidence in forecasting accurately and managing a book of business.
- Ability to use independent judgment with discretion.
- Understanding of the stages involved in a standard solution sales cycle.
- A habit of following through and keeping commitments.
- Flexibility and comfort with change.
- Strong organizational ability.
- Capability to build and execute a territory plan.
- Results-focused across personal, team, and organizational goals.
- Ability to lead, influence, and guide solution-based sales conversations.

- Mission-led, values-based culture.
- Strong focus on diversity and belonging.
- A workplace built on trust, autonomy, and collaboration.
