About the Team
The Singapore Business Product Management (SG BPM) group at Shopee focuses on empowering sellers and buyers across the globe to transact seamlessly in the Singapore market. As part of the broader Singapore team, SG BPM is dedicated to delivering an exceptional and cost-efficient e-commerce experience to Singapore's buyers. Acting as a bridge among Business, Operations, and Product divisions, the team works towards enhancing the full user journey by innovating services that surpass user expectations. This position operates within the vibrant and competitive Singapore market, offering challenging and rewarding opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and launch of product features tailored for the Shopee app in Singapore, coordinating with stakeholders, documenting requirements, performing user acceptance testing (UAT), and analyzing A/B test data.
- Collaborate closely with Singapore Marketing and regional teams to gather requirements, identify growth opportunities, and execute strategic initiatives aligned with company goals.
- Craft and maintain product roadmaps focused on outcomes, balancing business value, technical feasibility, available resources, and delivery timetables.
- Draft clear and concise Business Requirement Documents (BRDs/FRFs) to ensure business targets are met while providing streamlined solutions for engineering teams.
- Manage UAT processes, oversee live product launches, mitigate potential risks, and maintain transparent communication regarding project status.
- Drive successful product adoption by planning deployments, conducting training sessions, collecting feedback, and offering ongoing support.
- Perform data analyses to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), assess product impact, and recommend continuous improvements.
- Investigate possibilities to incorporate emerging technologies to enrich product capabilities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business (Operations Management), Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Industrial Systems Engineering, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Possessing cross-functional knowledge of business operations and/or information systems (including domains like data exchange and structure) is advantageous.
- Proficiency or familiarity with data analysis tools such as SQL and Python is a valuable plus.
- Strong ability to convey complex ideas succinctly and clearly both verbally and in writing to stakeholders across various levels.
- Demonstrated logical thinking and effective problem-solving aptitude.
- Highly self-motivated, quick to acquire new knowledge, and committed to executing complex projects thoroughly.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
