Role Overview
The hotel is seeking a Service Leader - Housekeeping to support day-to-day housekeeping operations and maintain the property's service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clear understanding of the Shangri-La Experience, along with the hotel's current housekeeping standards and corporate expectations.
- Use housekeeping chemicals and equipment correctly and ensure they are handled with proper care.
- Be familiar with room preparation and servicing requirements, including extra beds, baby cots, and playpens.
- Observe guest preferences, record them, and act on them to deliver more personalised service.
- Interact with guests in a professional, courteous, and caring manner while following hotel policies and procedures.
- Respond quickly to guest requests and carry out errands when required.
- Prepare and clean guest rooms, including setups involving extra beds and baby cots or playpens.
- Monitor guest loan items, making sure they remain clean, usable, and accurately tracked.
- Follow standard procedures for master keys, pagers, and phones.
- Report any missing or damaged linen, furniture, fixtures, or equipment to the Service Leader - Housekeeping.
- Escalate maintenance issues to the Service Leader - Housekeeping so they can be addressed promptly.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of work experience in a housekeeping role within the hospitality industry.
