Position Overview: Accounts Officer

We are seeking an Accounts Officer to become part of our team, responsible for ensuring accurate financial operations and assisting in strengthening internal processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify and check eClaims and manual petty cash transactions.
  • Ensure invoices are processed accurately and timely with necessary approvals secured.
  • Prepare and post journal entries in preparation for month-end closing.
  • Update and review reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with inquiries and collaborate closely with operational teams to provide finance-related support and guidance.
  • Contribute to updating monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of fixed assets and verify that the Fixed Asset Register reconciles with the Balance Sheet.
  • Update Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) on a monthly basis and prepare annual CAPEX documentation.
  • Conduct analysis and review expense details in the Profit & Loss statement.
  • Support daily financial operations to bolster internal control systems.
  • Assist with finance-related projects and respond to requests as needed.
  • Perform additional finance duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of two years' experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Sound understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
  • Strong ability to manage time effectively and pay close attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and creative communication capabilities.
  • Ability to work well both collaboratively as a team member and independently.
