Senior Vice President of Procurement

Role Overview

This remote U.S.-based leadership role calls for a senior procurement executive who can steer enterprise-wide sourcing strategy, elevate supplier partnerships, and create measurable business impact through strong commercial and operational leadership.

What You Will Do

• Set and roll out procurement and strategic sourcing plans that support the company’s broader business goals.
• Oversee procurement activity across direct and indirect spend areas, with a focus on supplier management and operational discipline.
• Develop durable, high-value relationships with key suppliers and strategic business partners.
• Handle commercial negotiations, contracts, and supplier performance improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Legal, Manufacturing, and executive leaders to advance organizational priorities.
• Create procurement governance frameworks, policies, and performance measures that improve consistency and effectiveness.
• Advance procurement transformation through process redesign, digital tools, and analytics-led decision making.
• Track market movements, supplier results, and industry changes to inform strategy.
• Lead procurement planning, budgeting, and team capability-building efforts.
• Coach and grow a strong procurement leadership group while encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required Background

• A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
• An MBA, master’s degree, or another advanced business credential is preferred.
• At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or commercial functions is needed.
• Demonstrated success running enterprise-scale procurement teams in complex environments is essential.
• Hands-on experience in supplier negotiations, contract administration, category management, and procurement strategy is expected.
• A strong grasp of procurement analytics, supplier performance management, and operational excellence is important.
• Excellent executive-level communication, negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills are required.
• Comfort using procurement platforms and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or Ariba is preferred.

Preferred Industry Exposure

Background in manufacturing, healthcare, technology, consumer products, industrial, logistics, or professional services is advantageous. Experience with global sourcing, international supplier networks, procurement transformation, digital procurement tools, and distributed teams is also valued.
