Company Overview
Our client is a leading West Coast-focused real estate private equity firm managing discretionary investment funds and separate account vehicles for a diverse range of institutional and private capital partners. Fresh off closing its fifth discretionary fund, the firm is accelerating its growth and expanding its team.

Role Summary
Reporting to senior leadership and the Managing Director of Acquisitions, the Senior Vice President will be instrumental throughout the entire investment process—from sourcing opportunities and underwriting to deal closing and asset management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and identify innovative real estate investment strategies to optimize value creation in new acquisitions across multiple asset classes.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with developers, brokers, operators, capital sources, and market influencers to source and execute investments.
- Lead rigorous evaluation and underwriting of opportunistic acquisitions, joint ventures, subordinate debt, and note purchases.
- Possess deep knowledge of real estate investment legal documents and financing structures.
- Conduct detailed financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, and interpretation utilizing Argus and Excel, presenting findings to Investment Committees and stakeholders.
- Manage the full acquisition lifecycle including negotiations, deal structuring, financing arrangements, and closing procedures.
- Coordinate comprehensive due diligence processes, engaging sales teams, leasing brokers, lenders, tax consultants, and legal counsel.
- Support preparation of fund offering documentation, investor presentations, and regular reporting materials.
Portfolio Management and Dispositions
- Oversee leasing, capital improvements, and development initiatives with business plan updates and valuation analyses on portfolio holdings.
- Supervise development activities and streamline collaboration between Design, Construction partners, and the investments team.
- Drive asset disposition strategies including broker engagement, asset reviews, and negotiation of sale agreements through to transaction close.
Market Research and Leadership
- Conduct economic and market research informing acquisition and portfolio management strategies.
- Perform market visits to develop on-the-ground intelligence and foster relationships with local stakeholders.
- Provide leadership by coaching and managing analysts and associates, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating professional growth.
Experience and Education
- At least 10 years’ experience in sourcing, underwriting, and closing real estate acquisitions at leading investment firms, private equity, investment banks, or REITs.
- Deep familiarity with primary U.S. investment markets, especially from Central to West Coast regions, with multi-asset class expertise encompassing industrial, multifamily, office, and development sectors.
- Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university focused on Business, Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, or related disciplines; advanced degrees such as an MBA are preferred.
