Job description

Role overview

PointClickCare is hiring a senior executive to lead its Senior Living business as Senior Vice President & General Manager. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, this leader is accountable for the segment’s growth, profitability, and overall market approach. The role owns the complete customer journey, including pipeline creation, acquisition, retention, and expansion, while serving as the primary public-facing executive for the Senior Living market.

This is a high-visibility, field-centered leadership role that requires deep sector knowledge, a strong operator mindset, and a collaborative way of working. The person in this role will spend substantial time with customers and in the market, building trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across both diversified operators and pure-play Senior Living organizations. Success depends on influencing across functions and aligning product, engineering, and marketing around a unified segment strategy.

About PointClickCare

PointClickCare is a health technology company focused on helping care providers deliver better outcomes. The company is founder-led and privately held, with a large long-term and post-acute care dataset and a marketplace of more than 400 integrated partners supporting over 30,000 provider organizations. A significant share of revenue is reinvested into research and development to support innovation, and the company has been recognized for its culture and impact.

The organization also emphasizes the use of AI to improve creativity, productivity, collaboration, and decision-making. It invests in AI-related hiring, training, and development as part of its broader commitment to building a smarter healthcare future.

Location and travel

This is a remote role based in the USA. For remote positions, in-person events are still expected and may require travel to the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City office. These events can include onboarding, team events, and semi-annual or annual team meetings.

Key responsibilities

The role covers strategy, revenue performance, customer leadership, and cross-functional alignment for the Senior Living vertical.

Strategic leadership and market ownership

  • Set and own the strategy for the Senior Living segment, with separate go-to-market approaches for diversified operators and pure-play Senior Living companies.
  • Act as the lead executive sponsor for key customers and prospects, spending significant time in the market to build credibility and trust.
  • Represent PointClickCare at industry events, conferences, and customer advisory groups to influence market perception and competitive position.
  • Work with the CRO and executive leadership on annual planning, budget allocation, and investment decisions for the segment.

P&L management and revenue growth

  • Own the full P&L for the Senior Living business, including revenue, gross margin, and operating expense accountability across all subsegments.
  • Deliver growth in new ARR, net revenue retention, and expansion revenue while maintaining strong pipeline discipline and accurate forecasting.
  • Create and execute investment plans tailored to the dynamics of independent living, assisted living, memory care, and continuing care retirement communities.
  • Identify inorganic growth opportunities such as partnerships and adjacent-market expansion in coordination with strategy, partnerships, and corporate development teams.

Customer-facing team leadership

  • Lead the go-to-market motion for all Senior Living products across every segment.
  • Direct the customer-facing functions in the vertical, including Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Support leadership.
  • Hire, coach, and retain strong talent to build a high-performing organization that can scale growth while delivering an excellent customer experience.
  • Manage a mix of direct reports and matrixed resources to reach shared business goals.
  • Define performance expectations, accountability structures, and career paths for the customer-facing team.
  • Ensure staffing and capability levels are sufficient for current and future Senior Living investments, and proactively address talent gaps.

Cross-functional partnership

  • Provide matrixed leadership to Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering teams supporting the vertical, keeping roadmaps and campaigns aligned to segment needs.
  • Serve as the primary customer voice for Senior Living within the product organization so feature priorities reflect market demand and competitive gaps.
  • Partner with Marketing to shape demand-generation plans, content, and brand positioning that appeal to operator buyers.
  • Work closely with Finance, Legal, and People & Culture to ensure execution follows corporate standards and requirements.

Required background

Candidates should bring at least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise software, healthcare technology, or a related SaaS environment, including 5 or more years in a senior executive role with P&L ownership.

Strong sector knowledge is essential, including understanding of Senior Living operator economics, care delivery models, regulatory factors, and the technology ecosystem serving the market. The role also requires a record of scaling customer-facing organizations in high-growth B2B software businesses, and the ability to influence outcomes across functions without direct authority.

Applicants should have proven success managing executive-level customer relationships, strong financial literacy, and experience running a multi-million-dollar P&L with SaaS revenue and operating metrics. Extensive travel is required to stay close to customers, prospects, and internal teams in key markets.

Preferred qualities and experience

  • Strong executive presence and the ability to represent the company with confidence and authenticity at senior levels.
  • A highly collaborative leadership style that builds trust through transparency and shared goals.
  • Strategic and analytical judgment to translate market, customer, and competitive data into clear action.
  • Deep customer focus and genuine interest in improving care outcomes and operational performance in Senior Living.
  • Talent-development strength with a track record of building diverse, high-performing teams.
  • Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and making sound decisions with incomplete information.
  • Understanding of the differences between diversified post-acute operators with Senior Living assets and pure-play Senior Living organizations.

Compensation and benefits

The US compensation package for this role includes a competitive base salary, bonus, and benefits. The position is non-overtime eligible. Specific pay is determined by role level, skills, experience, and work location, and the recruiter can provide more detail during the hiring process.
