WHOOP is dedicated to enhancing human performance and health span by enabling members to better understand their bodies, behaviors, and daily routines. The Senior Researcher position at WHOOP Labs Doha focuses on conducting pivotal studies that drive WHOOP’s product innovation, in close collaboration with WHOOP Labs Boston. This role involves collecting exercise, physiology, and wearable device data to advance the development of WHOOP's next-generation products and algorithms. WHOOP Labs Doha conducts tens of thousands of data collections annually, setting a high standard for participant experience and research excellence in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and tailor intricate research protocols as part of global multi-site data collection projects related to machine learning, sensor validation, and product development programs.
• Coordinate closely with WHOOP Labs Boston to maintain methodological uniformity across locations.
• Adapt research procedures for the Doha environment, adjusting activities, session formatting, and participant criteria alongside international collaborators.
• Lead research projects focused on region-specific questions and contribute as a subject matter expert on remote global initiatives.
• Create and update detailed project plans, workflows, and deliverables, responding effectively to shifting priorities.
• Manage research schedules and dependencies using project management tools to ensure transparency and adherence to timelines.
• Collaborate with WHOOP Labs Doha teams, including Recruitment, Lab Management, and fellow Researchers, to ensure seamless end-to-end study implementation.
• Provide exceptional customer service and participant engagement at the WHOOP Labs Doha facilities.
• Conduct calibration sessions for WHOOP Members visiting the Qatar facility.
• Represent the WHOOP brand professionally, delivering expert knowledge and a top-tier experience to all lab visitors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in physiology, biotechnology, exercise science, or related fields.
• Three to five years of research experience in exercise science, performance, health, or similar domains.
• Excellent participant engagement and customer service abilities combined with a human-centered approach.
• Strong project and program management competencies, with familiarity in tools like Jira or comparable platforms.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and perform effectively in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
• Enthusiasm for working in an energetic startup culture.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings at least two days a week.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, the primary working language of WHOOP.
• Comfortable communicating in English and Arabic with local Doha participants.
