Senior Rehab Rotational Physiotherapist

Job Overview

This permanent Band 6 Rotational Physiotherapist role offers 37.5 hours per week with 9-month rotations through diverse areas such as Medical Wards, Emergency Department, Acute Stroke Unit, Early Supported Discharge (ESD), and Farnham Hospital. The position is based primarily at Frimley Park Hospital with rotations to community teams and Farnham. Candidates should possess enthusiasm for clinical problem-solving, multidisciplinary collaboration, and delivering exceptional rehabilitation care in a dynamic environment.

The role includes participation in a respiratory on-call rota as part of the working schedule. Attendance for an in-person interview is required.

Main Responsibilities

• Complete 9-month rotational placements across various clinical settings.
• Deliver high-quality physiotherapy by assessing and managing patients, including those with complex needs.
• Supervise and instruct recently qualified physiotherapists, technicians, assistants, students, and multidisciplinary team colleagues.
• Engage in continuous professional development and departmental initiatives.
• Perform thorough patient assessments, develop customized treatment plans, and apply specialized interventions using evidence-based best practices.
• Maintain accountability for clinical practice, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to professional standards.
• Uphold clinical governance and risk management principles in all patient care activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Essential: HCPC registration and degree or diploma in Physiotherapy.
• Desirable: Membership of relevant clinical interest groups.
• Essential Experience: Completion of Band 5 rotations encompassing clinical areas such as General Medicine, Orthopaedics, Surgical/ICU, Elderly Care, Neurology, and Outpatients.
• Desirable Experience: Acute NHS hospital Band 5 experience and participation in research or audit.
