Opportunities We Provide

• Rotate through acute and community settings including Medicine, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Elderly Rehabilitation, A&E, Stroke, Hand Therapy, community inpatient rehabilitation, and community-based therapy (dependent on site).

Main Duties

• Deliver high-quality, person-centered clinical care advocating for patient welfare.
• Provide services optimized for current and future healthcare needs.

• Each six-month rotation includes specific responsibilities tailored to the specialty and team.

Qualifications and Person Specification

• Essential qualifications include a degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
• Skills required encompass the ability to work independently with individuals and groups, computer literacy, understanding of team dynamics, capacity for self-reflection and performance evaluation, knowledge of risk assessment, professional ethics, evidence-based practice, and a valid driving license.
• Desirable skills include strong presentation abilities and training/facilitation experience.

Experience

• Essential experience includes OT work or placements in UK acute hospital settings, documented CPD, and exposure to areas such as Acute Medicine, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Elderly Care, A&E, Neurology, and community rehabilitation.
• Desirable experience includes involvement in research, audit activities, and use of electronic patient records.
