Role Overview
The Senior Regional Marketing Manager for EMEA will take ownership of marketing initiatives in this critical growth phase. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product and Regional Marketing in the US, this hands-on leader will collaborate daily with the EMEA Sales leader based in London. Responsibilities include driving pipeline growth, managing the Account-Based Marketing (ABM) program, overseeing digital and live events, and ensuring consistent, impactful branding across target markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Adapt global campaign strategies into localized programs that generate measurable pipeline results.
- Lead the regional ABM strategy, including account selection, messaging customization, agency liaison, and performance monitoring.
- Align marketing activities with sales pipeline goals and territory strategies through close collaboration with sales leadership.
- Coordinate post-event lead conversion efforts alongside Sales Operations.
- Manage the events calendar, from third-party conferences to hosted executive roundtables, including logistics and vendor/agency relationships.
- Develop a results-driven framework to measure pipeline ROI from events.
- Represent Alation at industry events across the EMEA region requiring travel.
- Support marketing programs aimed at customer expansion and identify advocacy opportunities with Customer Success.
- Customize global customer success stories to better resonate with local buyers.
- Localize messaging and content for different audiences, verticals, and buyer personas ensuring alignment with campaigns.
- Provide market intelligence insights back to the global product marketing team.
- Oversee regional marketing budgets with accountability for ROI.
- Track and report on pipeline influence, account engagement, and program effectiveness regularly.
- Maintain consistent reporting routines with Sales and Marketing leadership.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 8 years' experience in B2B marketing, with at least 3 years focused on regional or field marketing within EMEA.
- Demonstrated success in boosting pipeline growth in partnership with enterprise sales teams.
- Strong hands-on expertise in ABM strategy development, execution, and analysis.
- Experience managing multi-market agencies and event vendors.
- Commercially savvy with a focus on pipeline and revenue outcomes rather than just campaign metrics.
- Ability to work autonomously within a dynamic, matrix-organized SaaS company headquartered in the US.
- Willingness to travel frequently across the EMEA region.
- Capacity to manage overlapping working hours with the California headquarters.
- Proficiency in Claude AI and usage of Project and Cowork tools on a daily basis.
