Role Summary

The Government Relations Senior Manager/Associate Director will be located in Singapore and play a pivotal role in executing comprehensive global government relations strategies centered on the EMEA and Americas regions. This position involves coordinating cross-functional initiatives, performing policy research, engaging with stakeholders, and maintaining close collaboration with various internal departments, while supporting frequent international travel to markets relevant to regulatory and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze political, regulatory, policy, and geopolitical developments across critical markets to evaluate impacts on business.
  • Assist in implementing government relations strategies at global and regional levels focusing on EMEA and Americas markets.
  • Facilitate coordination across Legal, Compliance, Public Relations, Sustainability, Finance, Tax, and regional Marketing teams for GR initiatives.
  • Conduct extensive policy and regulatory research on issues such as cross-border e-commerce, digital platforms, trade, consumer protection, AI, product compliance, customs, taxation, sustainability, and platform governance.
  • Develop briefing materials, policy summaries, stakeholder mappings, government engagement documents, meeting notes, and executive-level reports.
  • Engage and maintain relationships with government agencies, industry groups, chambers of commerce, think tanks, and other external stakeholders.
  • Manage government relations projects ensuring timely delivery of action items and follow-ups in all relevant markets.
  • Establish internal GR processes including information sharing, escalation mechanisms, project tracking, and stakeholder engagement workflows.
  • Travel regularly across markets to support government engagement, corporate meetings, market studies, and local coordination.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Global Studies, Law, Economics, Communications, Media, Journalism, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 to 8 years professional experience in corporate or public affairs, government relations, public policy, corporate communications, or public relations.
  • Proven expertise in policy research, regulatory analysis, and developing/executing external communication strategies or campaigns.
  • Established policy and regulatory network particularly within EMEA and Americas regions.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong motivation to convert policy and regulatory interactions into concrete commercial success.
  • Excellent analytical skills, outstanding written and verbal communication, and adept project management capabilities.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese languages.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Willingness and availability for frequent travel internationally.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks with acute attention to detail within a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
