Role overview
This position is responsible for steering the unit’s quality assurance function and ensuring that product standards align with the Quality Manuals. The role focuses on strengthening quality processes, safeguarding hygiene and food safety, and building a culture of continuous improvement so products consistently meet and surpass customer expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Make sure product and packaging activities follow the Quality Manuals.
- Take ownership of the unit’s quality, hygiene, and food safety agenda.
- Serve as the main contact for quality and food safety concerns from both internal and external customers, including complaint resolution and CAPA tracking.
- Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory obligations such as Department of Weights & Measures requirements and calibration controls.
- Verify that finished products satisfy quality manual standards as well as legal requirements.
- Evaluate product and packaging quality and share observations with the Unit Head, Head Brewer, and CTC.
- Build and refine unit-level quality systems, standards, and procedures in line with the Quality Manuals.
- Promote the use of relevant quality tools across the unit and improve team understanding of them.
- Prepare departmental reports and submit them on schedule to the Unit team and CTC.
- Maintain a satisfactory BAPS score above 90%.
- Keep the quality difference between Unit and CTC analysis within acceptable limits.
- Ensure micro compliance with the Quality Manuals and help maintain an infection-free plant.
- Support quality system requirements through internal audits and management reviews.
- Lead, coach, and develop the unit QA team.
- Communicate quality expectations clearly to the operations team and guide them on how to meet those standards.

The role requires close attention to quality governance, food safety, hygiene, compliance monitoring, and corrective action management. Strong coordination with plant leadership and operations teams is essential to uphold standards and drive improvements.

Success in this role is measured through compliance to quality manuals, timely reporting, effective CAPA closure, strong audit outcomes, a healthy BAPS score, and reliable product quality performance across the unit.
