Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing Global Cash Management and Trade Services products, along with related service delivery, implementations, channels, and portfolio management for QNB Group, aligned with the wider group strategy.

Key Responsibilities

The position covers financial performance, customer engagement, internal processes, learning and knowledge sharing, and regulatory and risk obligations.

  • Lead the development, marketing, and enhancement of cash management and trade services offerings, ensuring QNB remains competitive in global markets.
  • Support revenue, profitability, and budget delivery by working closely with the sales team and senior management.
  • Drive execution of approved strategies, business plans, KPI frameworks, and productivity improvements while maintaining cost discipline.
  • Gather and analyse market intelligence and customer insights to ensure products and services respond to market demand and competitor activity.
  • Create innovative cash and trade solutions, packaged offerings, and supporting commercial materials such as presentations and collateral.
  • Partner with head office and country managers, as well as the global sales team, to commercialise products and track profitability.
  • Manage customer relationships for cash, trade, and e-channel services, with a one-point-contact approach to queries and issue resolution.
  • Maintain service levels with internal teams, improve turnaround times, and provide timely information to auditors, compliance, finance control, and risk teams.
  • Plan and implement cash and trade strategies, product launches, enhancements, and project rollouts, including testing and requirement fulfilment.
  • Prepare marketing plans, pitch materials, and sales support content, and review marketing effectiveness where needed.
  • Support brand-building and represent QNB at industry events, conferences, workshops, and professional forums.
  • Grow product capabilities beyond Qatar and support regional transaction acquisition across the QNB network.
  • Set pricing approaches and policy structures for cash and trade products.
  • Assess credit information and risk profiles, and introduce controls and mitigation actions for operational, market, sovereign, and related risks.
  • Strengthen internal controls, resolve internal issues quickly, and document activities in line with internal and external requirements.
  • Report on department performance to senior management and act as backup for the VP Global Cash Management Products when required.
  • Stay current on market structure, regulations, and industry practices; support coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, compliance, and risk frameworks, including AML/CTF, sanctions, data protection, fraud control, whistleblowing, conflict of interest, and insider dealing requirements.
  • Apply the Three Lines of Defence approach, support RCSA, KRI, incident reporting, remediation, and conduct risk expectations.
  • Maintain confidentiality, complete mandatory training, attend required seminars, and take on additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • A university degree is required; a BA or MBA is preferred, ideally in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Information Technology.
  • A master’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • At least 8 years of relevant banking experience is needed, preferably with a highly rated international bank.
  • Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written, are essential.
  • Arabic language knowledge is preferred, and additional business-relevant languages are an advantage.
  • Hands-on understanding of risk management, regulations, laws, and banking practices related to cash management and trade services is required.
  • Good knowledge of corporate banking customers and their expectations is important.
  • Ability to work with balanced scorecard methods, budgeting, financial planning, and financial modelling is expected.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and related applications is needed.
  • The role calls for strong people management, team leadership, organisation, decision-making, customer focus, integrity, and self-management.
