Role Overview
Based in the greater San Diego area, the Senior Key Account Manager is responsible for driving Brooks product sales and revenue expansion within assigned key accounts. This role oversees the full sales pipeline including order and inventory management, maintaining business health across footwear, apparel, and accessories categories. The position demands expertise on Brooks products and active management of retailer relationships to maximize growth and market presence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Establish revenue objectives aligned with North America’s annual growth targets covering all product lines.
- Design a comprehensive pre-season strategy identifying seasonal growth opportunities to support revenue goals.
- Manage in-season product flows in alignment with sales targets using sell-through analytics to optimize assortment.
- Coordinate with Retail Analytics for supply planning decisions supporting key account revenue achievement.
- Monitor monthly revenue projections and adjust flow strategies accordingly.
- Analyze sell-through performance and inventory data to drive timely replenishment and assortment adjustments.
- Engage with sales leadership on multi-year strategic planning.
- Develop and deliver monthly business reviews assessing account health and competitive activity.
- Lead external presentations and internal collaborations on seasonal go-to-market initiatives across physical and digital channels.
- Conduct product presentations to encourage seasonal adoption and diversify the product assortment.
- Participate in pre-line feedback sessions for upcoming seasonal products.
- Support grassroots events such as in-store promotions, expos, and running teams to stimulate product trials and sales.
- Collaborate with teams like Guru to focus on key market moments and initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships within Brooks across departments including Credit, Distribution, and Marketing to facilitate business expansion.
- Deliver competitive intelligence and product feedback from the field to internal stakeholders.
- Travel frequently within assigned territories and for key events such as tradeshows and sales meetings, up to 50% during peak seasons.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum seven years of sales experience in footwear and apparel industries.
- At least five years managing key or strategic accounts within specialty retail.
- Preferred experience in specialty running retail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Data Cube, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Tableau, and strong proficiency in MS Office.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills fostering trust and collaboration throughout the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, balanced with a strategic big-picture perspective.
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities, verbal and written.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% during high-demand periods.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this San Diego-based position is $160,000 to $230,000 annually, with final offers based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
