Position Overview

The Manager, US Sales, West Coast, will lead sales efforts for footwear, apparel, and accessories within a defined channel or territory. This role involves setting sales goals, developing strategies and budgets, managing sales representatives to meet targets, and collaborating with marketing to execute brand-promoting campaigns. Regular travel within the region and to trade shows is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Brooks' business relationships with sales representatives and accounts in the assigned territory, establishing strong bonds between reps and external partners.
  • Create strategic sales forecasts, product sales strategies, and annual revenue objectives for each account.
  • Design sales initiatives that increase retail sell-through and reinforce Brooks' leadership in performance running, including grassroots events.
  • Partner with sales representatives on seasonal product presentations to ensure order backlog growth and market share expansion.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Marketing team to develop grassroots marketing programs such as in-store promotions, expos, and store running teams that elevate brand visibility and sales.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Brooks Sports Inc., sales representatives, and customers in the territory.
  • Support broader Sales Leadership initiatives and handle special projects as assigned.
  • Lead seasonal sell-in presentations driving backlog and market share growth for footwear and apparel at key accounts.
  • Collect and provide feedback on competitor offerings and market dynamics.
  • Organize and participate in key business meetings, trade shows, and sales events.
  • Manage direct reports through goal setting, performance evaluations, hiring, fostering team culture, career growth, retention, and development of internal talent pipelines.
  • Make daily employee management decisions and advise leadership on matters such as compensation, promotions, hiring, and termination.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, or related discipline.
  • Over 7 years of experience in footwear and apparel sales.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a management role.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of retailer P&L, retail planning cycles, and retail mathematics.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and motivational abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation talents.
  • Proficiency in computer applications with intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills fostering trust and effective collaboration internally and externally.
  • Ability to foresee business decisions’ impact on customers and stakeholders.
  • Alignment with Brooks’ core values.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% during peak periods.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this Seattle-based role is $126,670 to $202,714, depending on candidates’ relevant experience, knowledge, and skills.
