Role Summary
The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) collaborates closely with assigned business units to align HR initiatives with organizational goals. This role delivers timely and effective HR solutions that boost employee morale, productivity, retention, and overall business outcomes. Reporting to the HR Business Partner Manager, this is a full-time role based in the United States with a preference for candidates within the Phoenix/Tempe region for hybrid attendance, though fully remote qualified applicants are welcomed nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business unit leadership to shape and execute HR strategies that support business objectives.
- Offer expert daily HR guidance to employees and management at all levels within the unit.
- Handle complex employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and addressing grievances.
- Advise leaders on performance management, succession planning, business restructuring, budgeting, pay adjustments, workforce planning, and reductions in force.
- Analyze HR data trends and metrics to recommend policies, strategies, and best practices.
- Support organizational design efforts, including job description development and market pricing for roles.
- Identify training needs and coordinate with learning teams to facilitate development programs.
- Work in partnership with recruiting, benefits, compensation, and employee experience teams to align initiatives.
- Stay informed on evolving legal regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of the business unit’s operations, financial status, strategic plans, culture, and competitive landscape.
- Perform additional HR duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, psychology, human resources management, or related field, plus at least 8 years of strategic HR experience; equivalent education and experience considered.
- Proficient knowledge across multiple HR disciplines, such as employee relations, performance management, compensation, organizational development, and federal/state employment law.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience collaborating with business leaders.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service aptitude.
- Ability to interpret, apply, and comply with policies and legal standards.
- Experience analyzing and reporting HR metrics.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines with flexibility.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and video conferencing tools such as Teams.
- Preferred experience working with Product and Engineering teams to align HR strategies with business needs.
- Willingness to travel up to 5% to engage with business leaders or HR colleagues.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is approximately $104,829 to $115,000, with the potential for incentive or bonus compensation based on personal and company performance. Salary may vary according to experience, skills, education, location, and job market factors.
