Job description
About the Role
Airbnb began in 2007 when two hosts opened their San Francisco home to three guests. Since then, the platform has expanded to more than 5 million hosts and over 2 billion guest arrivals across nearly every country in the world. The company helps guests discover distinctive stays and experiences that create deeper connections with local communities.
This position sits within the EMEA growth organization, supporting country teams as they execute local growth plans with a strong emphasis on demand generation. The role partners closely with marketing, growth marketing, product, communications, data science, and policy teams at both regional and local levels to build scalable programs across markets.
As a Senior Growth & Operations Manager, EMEA, you will collaborate with country and regional leadership to design and deliver initiatives that accelerate growth across the region. The role calls for strong attention to detail, sharp analysis, excellent organization, and clear communication. It suits someone who can juggle several priorities at once, manage complex parallel workstreams, and perform effectively in a fast-moving environment.
This position is based in London, Berlin, or Barcelona, follows a hybrid model with two office days per week, and does not include relocation support.
What You'll Do
- Lead cross-functional initiatives from initial problem definition through execution and measurement, including identifying the issue, shaping the ideal solution, mapping dependencies, coordinating stakeholders, and reviewing outcomes after launch. These projects may touch demand, supply, and regulatory areas, covering both near-term improvements and longer-term strategic work.
- Identify, test, and run new growth levers that can strengthen the business, including pilots related to traffic, CRM, growth marketing, new supply categories, and distribution partnerships.
- Run recurring business operating cadences and facilitate productive discussions by organizing weekly meetings and work routines with teams across sales, marketing, product, community, legal, and other functions to keep initiatives moving and escalate issues when needed.
- Prepare analysis, insights, and practical recommendations for regional leadership by combining internal and external data sources, studying macro and micro trends, defining the core business problem, and translating findings into clear decision-support materials.
What You'll Bring
- At least 6 years of professional experience, ideally including business consulting or strategy and operations work in a scale-up environment; experience in tech is an advantage.
- A solid business foundation with exposure to operations, sales, growth marketing, and commercial partnerships.
- Proven project management capability across multiple functions, preferably in technology companies or innovation-focused business units, along with familiarity with project management methods and frameworks.
- The ability to structure ambiguous problems, form and test hypotheses, and prioritize work effectively for yourself and across teams.
- A strong analytical approach, including end-to-end business analysis using Excel and AI tools; knowledge of SQL or Python would be beneficial.
- A practical, detail-focused mindset and a bias toward action and fast execution.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including presentation and stakeholder influence.
- Fluency in English is required; an additional European language is a strong plus.
- Availability to work from London, Berlin, or Barcelona and to come to the office frequently.
Inclusion & Belonging
Airbnb says it is committed to reaching the widest possible talent pool and believes that diverse perspectives drive innovation, engagement, and better products and services. Candidates from all backgrounds who meet the qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Compensation & Benefits
The listed base pay range for Spain is €65,000 to €80,000 per year. The actual salary may vary depending on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market conditions. The role may also qualify for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
