About Airbnb and the Role
Founded in 2007, Airbnb has grown from hosting three guests in San Francisco to a global community of over 5 million hosts welcoming 2 billion guest arrivals worldwide. Hosts provide unique experiences and lodging, fostering authentic community connections.
Within the EMEA region, our focus is on accelerating growth by empowering country teams to implement localized growth strategies, emphasizing demand generation. Collaboration spans marketing, product, communications, data science, and policy teams at both regional and local levels to create scalable programs across markets.
Your Impact
As Senior Growth & Operations Manager for EMEA, you will partner with country and regional leadership to strategize and implement growth initiatives that drive Airbnb's expansion across EMEA. Your precise attention to detail, analytical approach, organizational aptitude, and communication skills will be vital. You will handle multiple concurrent priorities, manage intricate projects, and thrive in dynamic environments. The role requires both strategic planning and seamless execution, involving interactions with leadership and overseeing operational details.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development, implementation, and evaluation of cross-functional initiatives that span demand, supply, and regulatory aspects. This includes defining problems clearly, designing ideal solutions, identifying obstacles, collaborating with stakeholders, and conducting post-project analyses.
- Drive business growth by identifying and managing innovative levers through launching and running pilots on themes such as traffic, CRM, growth marketing, new supply streams, and distribution partnerships.
- Organize and lead regular operational meetings to track project progress, foster collaboration among diverse teams (sales, marketing, product, community, legal), and escalate issues as necessary.
- Deliver insightful data analysis and actionable strategies to regional leadership to guide decision-making by synthesizing multiple data sources and trends and making informed recommendations.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in business consulting or strategy and operations within scale-ups, with a tech industry background considered advantageous.
- Solid understanding of operations, sales, growth marketing, and commercial partnerships.
- Proven track record of managing projects across multiple departments, employing project management methodologies and frameworks effectively, and prioritizing work to meet shared objectives.
- Strong analytical skills with capability in business analysis, proficient in tools like Excel and AI; familiarity with SQL or Python is desirable.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, results-driven approach with an emphasis on rapid execution and learning through doing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including presentation and influencing skills.
- Fluent English is required; proficiency in an additional European language is highly advantageous.
- Location requirement includes London, Berlin, or Barcelona with willingness to be onsite at least two days per week; this role does not include relocation assistance.
