Job description
Role overview
EY Ireland is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join its internal creative function in Dublin. This permanent full-time position sits within the UKI CBS business area and is focused on helping shape and deliver high-impact campaigns and events.
The in-house creative team works across graphic design, presentation design, animation, filming, photography, and broadcast. In this role, you will develop creative concepts and visual identities, support stakeholders in finding effective solutions, and partner closely with the Design Lead and Production Coordinator(s) to ensure work is delivered accurately and on schedule.
What you will do
- Develop original visual concepts and campaign ideas that strengthen core marketing and communications activity.
- Produce strategic design work across multiple channels and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver it effectively.
- Participate in, or run, design briefings that help uncover the real challenge behind a request.
- Protect and promote EY’s visual identity and help maintain consistency with the global brand.
- Build productive working relationships with stakeholders, internal teams, and external suppliers.
- Coordinate with the Design Lead and Operations to assign tasks appropriately within the creative team.
- Coach and support junior team members through feedback, guidance, and mentoring.
- Help create an energetic and collaborative creative environment.
- Work with print and digital suppliers to ensure outputs match the required specifications.
- Support leadership with wider creative initiatives when needed.
- Take initiative to identify opportunities and resolve problems proactively.
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate should bring at least 4 to 5 years of experience in an in-house, agency, or freelance environment, along with a qualification in Visual Communications or a closely related field. A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual design ability is required.
You should be comfortable creating assets for digital use, including interactive formats, and have practical experience with multiple print production methods. Strong relationship management skills are important, as is the ability to work calmly when priorities, demands, and deadlines change.
Advanced capability across Adobe Creative Cloud is expected, and you should have working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for smaller motion design tasks. Good Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint, are also important. A clear understanding of business goals and how they shape design decisions is valued.
Hiring process note
Candidates invited to second-round interviews will be asked to complete a short design exercise to demonstrate design thinking and MAC competency.
