Job description
Role overview
EY is hiring a Senior Consultant within its AI & Data function to help clients turn data into practical business value. The role focuses on building data science and AI solutions that support better decisions, stronger governance, and improved outcomes across a range of industries. The position is permanent and full-time, with opportunities to work from EY offices in Ireland.
About the team
You will join the UKI AI & Data practice, where teams combine analytical expertise, domain knowledge, and collaboration to solve complex client challenges. The group works across assurance, consulting, law, strategy, tax, and transactions, helping organisations convert information into a strategic asset.
This opportunity is open for EY offices in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and Galway. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
What you will do
- Analyse large, complex datasets to identify useful trends, patterns, and anomalies that can guide business strategy.
- Apply statistical methods to uncover insights, build predictive models, and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Develop, validate, deploy, and monitor machine learning and AI models across the full production lifecycle.
- Work with cross-functional teams to test and implement advanced models that align with business goals and client operations.
- Present analytical findings and model outputs in clear business language for stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Stay current with new techniques, tools, and developments in data science and AI.
- Support client growth by building new relationships and delivering high-quality service on major engagements.
- Help review and strengthen reporting policies and corporate governance processes during periods of change and regulation.
What EY is looking for
- At least 3 years of practical experience building and deploying machine learning or deep learning models in real-world settings.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Python and SQL, along with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Working experience with ML libraries such as Scikit-Learn, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar tools.
- Exposure to generative AI use cases such as prompt engineering or agents is preferred.
- Cloud experience with model building, deployment, and monitoring on Azure, AWS, or GCP is preferred.
- A solid grounding in statistics, mathematics, AI concepts, and programming.
- Ability to turn business rules and assumptions into features, explainable models, and practical solutions.
- Experience collaborating under senior guidance while contributing to model design and delivery.
- Capability to design, implement, and maintain reliable data pipelines for training and deployment.
