About the Client
Our client is a well-established investment bank operating across global equities, fixed income, derivatives trading, and wealth management sectors. As part of their expansion within the Southeast Asia region, they are looking to hire a Finance Manager / Senior Manager to join their finance team. This position offers significant involvement in regulatory reporting, capital adequacy oversight, and managing financial activities for multiple entities within a fast-paced trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end financial accounting and the monthly close for the Singapore trading entity, ensuring accuracy in trade-to-ledger integration, reconciliations, and rigorous balance sheet governance encompassing equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
- Oversee the daily tracking of MAS risk-based capital requirements and guarantee timely, precise submissions to regulatory authorities.
- Serve as a vital finance liaison for local, regional, and head office teams, facilitating consistent and high-quality financial reporting across various jurisdictions.
- Enhance internal controls, governance frameworks, and operational procedures to improve compliance, scalability, and risk mitigation for entities managed out of Singapore.
- Lead statutory reporting, coordinate audits and tax processes, and actively contribute to finance transformation initiatives and strategic projects aligned with evolving business and regulatory needs.
Candidate Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field; CPA certification achieved or actively pursued.
- At least five years of relevant professional experience gained from a Big Four accounting firm or regional/international financial institutions including banks, investment banks, or other CMS-regulated entities.
- Strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset, capable of working independently while promoting continuous process enhancements.
- Effective communication abilities including strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven track record of managing financial and statutory audits successfully.
