Role Overview
The Senior Finance Analyst in FP&A will play a critical role supporting the US division with a primary focus on cost analytics, forecasting, and overseeing performance management. This position demands a highly analytical individual capable of swiftly constructing financial models, extracting insights from complex data, and supporting fast, accurate decision-making. The role involves close collaboration with repair centers and retail operations to accurately forecast and report on overheads and other costs related to customer experience and service functions.
Key Duties
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
- Analyze and manage cost centers, especially overheads and sales-related expenses.
- Develop and maintain detailed cost models differentiating fixed and variable elements sensitive to volume changes.
- Produce precise month-end reports including variance analysis against budgets and previous periods.
- Conduct in-depth investigations of cost, margin, and operational performance drivers.
- Rapidly transform data into clear, actionable business insights.
- Create scenario and sensitivity analyses to guide business choices.
- Provide support for business case development and quick-turnaround ad hoc analyses.
- Collaborate with various functions to facilitate planning and informed decision-making.
- Critically examine assumptions while identifying risks and trade-offs.
- Communicate well-substantiated insights to key stakeholders.
- Design and refine dashboards and managerial reports to enhance reporting quality and efficiency.
- Automate and streamline data reporting workflows using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and AI-based applications.
- Maintain consistency and reliability in reporting and forecasting outputs.
- Support monthly forecast cycles and performance evaluations, rigorously tracking variances.
- Ensure forecasts integrate current business conditions and identified risks.
- Drive continuous process improvements in reporting and analytical methodologies.
- Work alongside Finance Systems and Business Intelligence teams to enhance systems and reporting tools.
- Implement financial modeling and analytical best practices.
Candidate Profile
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Between 4 and 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or financial analytical roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including modeling and scenario analysis; knowledge of Power Query is beneficial.
- Strong capabilities in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with ERP and planning software, for example SAP.
- Comfortable employing AI tools to enhance productivity.
- Highly detail-oriented, fast-paced, and hands-on approach.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
- Effective communicator able to translate complex analysis into actionable insights.
- Proactive mindset focused on continuous process enhancement.
Desired Qualifications
- MBA in Finance is advantageous.
- Experience with SAP and OneStream platforms.
- Background in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry is preferred.
Compensation
Salary range is $84,800 to $106,000, complementary to bonus and benefits packages.
