Role Overview
The Senior Executive reporting to the Deputy Manager is based in Gurugram and specializes in revenue accounting within the hospitality sector. This role requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline with 2-3 years of relevant experience preferably linked to hotels, hospitality, travel, or service industries. The candidate must demonstrate strong familiarity with accounting principles, revenue recognition standards, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and proficient use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), Excel, and SQL for financial data analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition adhering to International Accounting Standards (IAS/IFRS) and industry regulations by reviewing contracts and bookings.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant financial data, documentation, and explanations related to revenue transactions.
- Manage revenue-related data using ERP systems, perform reconciliations, generate reports, and identify areas for process and control improvements.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to track revenue trends, profitability, and present actionable recommendations for risk mitigation and revenue enhancement.
- Coordinate with hotel partners and internal teams to verify the correctness and compliance of GST invoices and related documentation.
- Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, and reconciliations ensuring statutory compliance and audit readiness.
- Develop strong partnerships with hotel vendors and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth resolution of revenue and GST queries.
- Produce timely and accurate revenue reports that comply with reporting deadlines and regulatory standards.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant commerce or finance fields.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in revenue accounting within the hospitality or service domains.
- Solid understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Excel, and SQL.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
