Practice Group Overview
The Shareholder Advisory division offers an array of services such as M&A Advisory, Activism Preparation and Defense, Board Governance Services, Corporate Governance Advisory, Proxy Solicitation, Capital Markets Intelligence, Global Debt and Bondholder Services, and Stakeholder Research.
Role Overview
We seek to expand our team in Sydney by appointing a Senior Director to enhance client engagement and sustain our industry-leading status.
Key Duties
- Lead the Client Services team, ensuring excellent client management and flawless execution of shareholder campaigns including M&A, AGM, EGM, and ECM within Australia.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to facilitate mandate renewals and growth through upselling and cross-selling of services.
- Regularly interact with key referral partners to support business development.
- Oversee and mentor team members to foster their growth and efficiency.
- Prepare and review client updates during active campaigns, communicating insights effectively on working group calls.
- Create compelling scripts for telephone shareholder engagement.
- Provide support to management and collaborate across various business sections.
- Assist in designing new service offerings and market strategies.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
- Minimum of seven years’ experience in client relationships, preferably in capital markets consulting or advisory roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, marketing, communications, or related fields.
- Comprehensive understanding of Australian capital markets.
- Experience in people management is advantageous.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and execution focus.
- Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
- Self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented approach.
- Effective multitasking and prioritization to manage daily client obligations successfully.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and AI tools.
- Strong ambition to advance career and expand professional networks within Sodali & Co.
