The strategic communications function covers corporate communications, financial and transaction communications, investor relations, public affairs and campaigns, crisis and special situations, and research.

The opportunity

The Perth team is hiring two experienced specialists: one permanent hire and one 12-month maternity leave cover. The role is based in Perth, Australia with a hybrid working arrangement.

What you will do

• Work as a key member of the Perth strategic communications group supporting a range of client accounts and projects.
• Build trusted client relationships by supporting communications work across investor relations, M&A, issues and crisis response, corporate communications, and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with teams across other parts of the firm on multi-disciplinary assignments.
• Represent clients in professional conversations and engagements with stakeholders, media, and investors.
• Create client-ready materials including communication and IR strategies, investor presentations, ASX announcements, fact sheets, key messages, Q&As, and related stakeholder documents.
• Assist with research and help coordinate client reporting based on market intelligence.
• Apply disciplined account management practices and help refine them for efficiency.
• Show commitment to continuous professional growth.
• Spot and act on business development opportunities that support growth.

What we are looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in commerce, marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Background in managing client relationships within capital markets-related environments.
• Strong spoken and written communication abilities.
• Capability to assess the market and identify business development opportunities.
• A proactive, self-directed, and outcomes-focused approach.
• Confidence working independently and delivering daily client outputs on time.
• Careful attention to accuracy and detail.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving setting and adapting to evolving client and business priorities.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with social media channels is an advantage.
• Proven ability to work well as part of a team.

Employment details
