Job description

About NetApp and Opportunity

NetApp is a leader in intelligent data infrastructure, providing unified storage and integrated data services that empower organizations to unlock their data's full potential across AI and multicloud environments. As Senior Director of EMEA Professional Services, you will spearhead a $100M+ portfolio, overseeing strategy, execution, and financial results while managing over 150 professionals regionally. This role requires accelerating the adoption of a services-centric, outcome-driven model that advances fee-based consulting and advisory approaches to foster earlier engagement in customer lifecycles and promote profitable growth through increased service attach rates and pull-through.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and own the strategy, operations, and financial outcomes for NetApp’s EMEA Professional Services organization.
  • Expand fee-based consulting and advisory services to engage clients during early stages, influencing their vision and adoption to generate quantifiable outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with EMEA Sales and Solutions Engineering to cultivate service pipelines, develop repeatable engagement plays, and enhance attach rates through outcome-centered services.
  • Continuously refine the services portfolio, including offer structuring, pricing, and value communication, to minimize dependence on non-revenue generating activities and low-value product-attached services.
  • Manage a geographically distributed team comprising leaders, consultants, and delivery personnel; foster talent development, succession planning, and a high-performance inclusive culture.
  • Standardize delivery methodologies to ensure predictable, high-quality execution, focusing on improved utilization, project success, and customer satisfaction.
  • Optimize operational models combining local delivery, partnerships, and global service centers, driving ongoing productivity and process improvements.
  • Conduct executive discovery and advisory sessions to build roadmaps and value cases that convert strategic discussions into funded consulting engagements that enhance service attach and pull-through.
  • Represent Professional Services in senior executive forums with key clients and partners, including strategic account planning and executive briefings.
  • Align with global Professional Services, Portfolio, and Operations teams to scale best practices and implement business improvements.

Qualifications

  • Over 15 years of progressive leadership experience in Professional Services, Consulting, or Managed Services within the enterprise technology sector, covering domains such as hybrid cloud, storage, data management, security, and automation.
  • Strong commercial track record managing service P&Ls, including bookings, revenue recognition, margin, and cost control.
  • Proven expertise in developing and growing fee-based consulting and advisory offers, with success influencing customer executives.
  • Ability to forge strong partnerships with field sales, generating pipelines, establishing service-driven plays, and delivering predictable commercial results.
  • Experience managing consulting and transformation projects, guiding executive discovery, roadmap formulation, and adoption/value realization.
  • Demonstrated consultative selling skills to build and close fee-based advisory engagements, develop proposals and statements of work, and communicate ROI collaboratively with Sales.
  • Leadership of large, geographically diverse teams, including senior leaders, functioning adeptly in globally matrixed environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive customer relationship management capabilities.
  • Exceptional operational focus encompassing forecasting, governance, quality assurance, risk mitigation, and continuous process enhancement.
  • Comfortable coordinating across partners and global delivery centers to maximize capacity and standardize execution.
