The role sits within the VCA GCC team and focuses on selling, delivering, and monitoring strategic projects for major clients across the GCC, with a strong emphasis on Saudi Arabia. The selected leader will oversee a segment of the business in Saudi Arabia, covering business growth, client relationship management, and project execution. The role also contributes to strengthening the consulting practice by shaping team structures, building account management capability, mentoring talent, and creating consistent methods for proposals, delivery, and impact measurement.

Role Overview

The Senior Director for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman (KBO) will lead sales and delivery efforts for high-value projects, handle complex strategic challenges, and help achieve business goals for clients. The position is also responsible for developing client engagements, expanding value-added services, and working with practice leaders to design and deliver solutions that meet market needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the sale and execution of major projects in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman, while solving complex strategic issues and delivering against client and business objectives.
  • Proactively oversee client relationships in priority markets to expand value-added service opportunities.
  • Shape and deliver solutions and service offerings in the market in collaboration with practice leads.
  • Spot new project opportunities and take ownership of proposal development for additional client work.
  • Help define the consulting strategy for the KBO region in line with Visa Consulting & Analytics, CEMEA, and GCC Digital, Strategy, Risk, and Portfolio leadership.
  • Drive rollout of key strategic topics and capabilities in the KBO region, including areas such as GenAI and Open Banking.
  • Support leadership on project economics and practice metrics, including value-in-kind forecasts, burn rates, utilization, scorecards, risk controls, and quality management.
  • Improve team effectiveness and support the professional growth of the market team.
  • Bring structure to complex project engagements by managing objectives, scope, budget, and delivery requirements.
  • Develop proprietary insights and knowledge-sharing practices with consulting and data science teams across regions to apply best practices and global perspectives to local client needs.
  • Contribute to recruitment, mentoring, coaching, and development of consulting talent.

Work Arrangement

This role is expected to be based in Saudi Arabia for 4 to 5 days per week, with travel to Bahrain and Oman as needed based on client and market requirements.

Qualifications

  • At least 15 years of experience in financial services consulting; a mix of consulting and banking experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and project delivery within a consulting environment.
  • Experience leading major change management initiatives, either as a consultant or in an operational role.
  • Exposure to local, regional, and global financial services environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong capability to design strategies and activities that improve program performance and effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation abilities.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with senior internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to facilitate groups and lead presentations effectively.
  • A recognized degree is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel often and work on client sites for extended periods across the GCC.
  • English fluency is mandatory; Arabic is a strong advantage.
