Role Overview
The Senior Recruiter will lead full-cycle recruitment processes for positions ranging from staff to leadership across diverse Visa business units. This role demands a strategic thinker with seasoned recruiting expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies tailored to various business units.
- Enhance Visa's employer brand to position it as a premier employer in the marketplace.
- Devise talent attraction plans to secure the necessary skill sets supporting business goals.
- Provide consultation on future recruitment capabilities and processes.
- Assist hiring managers in defining evaluation standards and competencies to ensure consistent, valid candidate assessments.
- Serve as a liaison with hiring managers and candidates, managing communications and negotiations across management levels.
- Operate autonomously to deliver recruitment outcomes.
- Juggle multiple recruitment projects and candidate pipelines effectively.
- Support hiring managers in conducting efficient and professional interviews.
- Champion candidate experience and maintain fairness in internal and external hiring processes.
- Handle offer management, reference checks, and salary recommendation processes.
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic work environment.
- Engage in talent acquisition programs and continuous process improvements.
- Maintain high levels of satisfaction among internal clients.
- Balance advocating for employees while serving organizational business needs.
- Collaborate with Corporate Talent Acquisition teams to provide exemplary recruitment services.
- Ensure adherence to all audit, legal, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Manage employee-related issues to mitigate company risks.
- Adhere to Visa's policy requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office, with specific expectations to be determined by the hiring manager.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or
- Advanced degree (Master’s, MBA, JD, MD) with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or
- PhD holders may qualify with no experience.
Preferred experience and skills:
- 6+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years with an advanced degree, or up to 3 years with a PhD.
- Familiarity with Canadian labor laws and regulations to ensure compliant hiring practices.
- Capability to advise hiring managers on employment practices, offer procedures, classifications, and compliance within Canada.
- Understanding of Canadian compensation, contract structures, background checks, and work authorization issues.
- Strong customer relationship management and consulting abilities.
- Experience with diverse proactive sourcing methods and talent pipelines.
- Advanced proficiency in recruiting strategy development for evaluating and selecting corporate talent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and organizational capabilities.
- Experience working with Taleo applicant tracking system is advantageous.
- Consultative experience related to workforce planning aspects such as salary equity and staffing levels.
Additional Information
Salary and Benefits: For U.S.-based applicants, the anticipated salary band ranges from $109,800 to $186,000 annually, potentially including sales incentives. Compensation will consider qualifications, experience, and location. The position may also be eligible for bonus and equity awards.

Work Schedule: Hours vary according to departmental needs.
Travel: Requires 5-10% travel.
