Role Overview
The Senior Director, International is a pivotal leader responsible for managing and enhancing The Coca-Cola Company's partnership with Marriott International. This leader crafts and implements the global commercial strategy for international markets, fostering alignment across customer systems and driving business growth. Key functions include spearheading long-term global RFP initiatives and connecting customer objectives with the extensive Coca-Cola global ecosystem.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage the comprehensive Marriott International customer relationship by delivering strategic insights, engaging senior stakeholders, and facilitating cross-system collaboration.
- Oversee the global RFP procedures outside of North America, ensuring a unified and value-driven approach.
- Design and execute negotiation frameworks that support sustained growth and mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with customer teams, bottlers, and internal departments to synchronize priorities and implement integrated business solutions.
- Act as a strategic adjunct to the key North America account team, supporting Marriott's global expansion efforts.
- Lead enterprise-wide coordination of Marriott account strategies across the Coca-Cola international system.
- Maintain senior-level customer relationships with a focus on strong business stewardship and strategic prioritization.
- Align cross-functional teams horizontally and vertically with customer goals and overall business targets.
- Drive executive-level interactions with Marriott continent teams and represent Coca-Cola in senior forums.
- Manage annual business planning, performance stewardship, and results tracking for Marriott International.
- Mobilize corporate resources, expertise, and global capabilities to address opportunities, mitigate risks, and support growth plans.
- Formulate joint business plans and investment priorities fostering long-term success for both partners.
- Cultivate a networked system team to uncover new business avenues and reinforce strategic partnerships with Marriott.
- Coordinate globally with multifunctional teams to leverage all Coca-Cola resources for global customer success.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- Extensive experience in customer leadership, strategic account management, and operating on international scales within or related to the Coca-Cola network.
- Proven track record in leading complex, cross-functional teams in dynamic and multinational customer environments.
- Strong familiarity and experience navigating the Coca-Cola system and its global enterprise framework.
- An appreciation for diverse cultures, demonstrating cultural curiosity and sensitivity.
- Exceptional abilities in building value-driven relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in strategic planning and negotiation.
- Competence in leading and influencing complex, matrixed teams.
Additional Information
- This role involves up to 50% international travel to support global business priorities.
- Primary work locations include London, Dublin, Hong Kong, or Singapore, with limited relocation support available.
- The role offers an annual incentive valued at 30% of target performance, competitive with the market.
