Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned leader to join us as Senior Director of Facilities Management. This newly established leadership role is critical to expanding our leadership capabilities, advancing succession planning, and influencing the future trajectory of our operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive facilities management experience and be eager to impact high-level business decisions and contribute to the sustained success of a growing national organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a significant portfolio within the facilities management division, driving excellence in operations, quality of service, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.
- Steer strategic planning efforts to ensure operational activities align with company goals and identify opportunities to enhance performance, operational efficiency, and client value.
- Support business growth initiatives by fostering client retention, exploring expansion opportunities, contributing to bid strategies, contract negotiations, pricing, and proposal development.
- Maintain and deepen trusted client relationships by acting as a reliable advisor, ensuring alignment between client priorities and business objectives, and sustaining a strong leadership presence.
- Mentor and develop operational leaders, assist in workforce and succession planning, and promote a culture characterized by accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and improvement.
- Oversee the financial outcomes of the business unit including revenue, profitability, budgeting, and forecasting, implementing corrective actions to meet financial targets, in partnership with finance teams.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, analyzing results and promoting innovation that enhances service delivery, organizational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated leadership with P&L responsibility and a track record of managing financial and operational performance.
- Extensive leadership experience in Facilities Management, Integrated Facilities Management, Building Operations or comparably service-based environments.
- Proven ability to manage large and complex portfolios and multiple client relationships effectively.
- Strong skills in strategic planning, business execution, and fostering organizational capacity through leadership development.
- Exceptional business development, relationship management, commercial insight, and communication capabilities.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
