About the Role
A rapidly growing global FMCG drinks company is seeking an experienced Senior Demand Planning Manager to lead their demand planning team. The role is based in Dublin and forms part of a close-knit supply chain team of 15 people including two strong supervisors. The ideal applicant will have between 5 and 8 years of demand planning experience within FMCG, bringing strong expertise in compliance and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes. Key Responsibilities
- Drive the deployment and maturation of the S&OP process across teams including commercial, finance, supply chain, and category management.
- Oversee the end-to-end planning cycles to synchronize demand, supply, production, and executive review stages.
- Align operational plans with financial forecasts to inform strategic business decisions.
- Facilitate cross-functional cooperation to improve customer-focused forecasting and enhance planning accuracy.
- Develop and refine the overall Demand Planning strategy, ensuring adoption of best practices and continual improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate the Demand Planning team culture to foster collaboration and high performance.
- Document and standardize demand planning procedures to safeguard organizational knowledge and promote consistency.
- Implement knowledge transfer initiatives to retain critical expertise within the team.
- Maintain and improve an 18-month rolling forecast in partnership with commercial stakeholders, adapting to market trends.
- Organize internal and external forecast review meetings to ensure effective dialogue and decision-making.
- Analyze demand planning data and reports, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Present forecasts and planning insights to various internal and external parties to aid strategic choices.
- Support peer managers and contribute to the broader department's strategic development.
- Champion continuous enhancement of supply chain tools, processes, and workflows to meet organizational goals.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated 5-8 years experience in demand planning, preferably within an FMCG or comparable fast-paced sector.
- Proven ability to lead teams and engage cross-functional stakeholders effectively.
- Strong analytical skills enabling transformation of complex data into actionable business insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities, including presentation proficiency.
- Experience collaborating closely with commercial, financial, and supply chain departments.
- Comfortable operating in a compliance-focused environment with experience driving S&OP processes.
