In Asia, the Audience Measurement Commercial Team supplies the data that underpins the region’s media and advertising ecosystem. By measuring audience behavior across platforms, the team enables publishers to maximize content value and advertisers to improve campaign performance. The function operates in a fast-changing market and solves complex commercial challenges.

Role Overview

This Singapore-based senior commercial position is focused on expanding revenue for the Audience Measurement portfolio. The role owns the full sales process, deepens market presence across Singapore’s media and advertising sector, and works as a senior individual contributor with a personal sales target. The person in this role will handle important client discussions, partner with internal teams, and help strengthen Nielsen’s position as a preferred measurement partner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute the annual sales plan for the assigned market segment, keeping it aligned with regional priorities and identifying meaningful growth opportunities.
  • Own a significant revenue book and consistently deliver quarterly and annual targets through disciplined pipeline management and strong commercial execution.
  • Work with marketing to shape and execute go-to-market activity that creates a healthy flow of qualified leads.
  • Coordinate closely with product, operations, and other teams to create joined-up client solutions.
  • Lead negotiations for large and complex enterprise opportunities and act as the senior commercial lead on priority deals.
  • Share market intelligence and frontline client feedback with central commercial and product teams to help refine pricing, positioning, and strategy.
  • Develop longer-term account strategies that strengthen client relationships and respond to changing industry needs.
  • Support the commercial rollout of new products and help prepare the market and internal teams for launch.
  • Convert market trends and commercial insights into practical actions and coaching for the wider team.
  • Contribute to a culture of commercial innovation across the business.
  • Own strategic relationships with senior leaders, decision-makers, and important industry bodies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor who can clearly explain Nielsen’s value proposition and address client business challenges.
  • Channel client feedback into product and operations planning to influence future service delivery.
  • Coordinate with regional and global leadership to keep the local portfolio aligned with current and future customer needs.
  • Use client and market knowledge to guide account strategy, identify expansion opportunities, and reduce churn risk.

Requirements

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in digital media, adtech, agencies, or advertiser-side environments.
  • A well-developed professional network across Southeast Asia, with the ability to operate effectively from a Singapore base.
  • Demonstrated success managing a substantial revenue portfolio and meeting multi-million-dollar targets in a competitive, fast-growing setting.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising and media measurement; experience with audience measurement solutions is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, including the ability to present complex value propositions to senior stakeholders across APAC.
  • Proven capability to contribute to and deliver annual commercial plans.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with senior decision-makers at agencies, advertisers, and industry partners across Southeast Asia.
  • Comfort using CRM tools, especially Salesforce, for forecasting, pipeline tracking, and business insight.
  • Advanced negotiation ability for structuring and closing complex enterprise agreements.
  • Highly credible commercial leadership style with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive growth in complex markets.
  • Fluency in English is required.
