Role Overview

An Account Executive (AE) at Klaviyo carries significant responsibility to influence the company's growth and their personal career trajectory. Klaviyos take pride in their product expertise and approach sales with integrity, focusing on matching the right customers with suitable solutions. AEs manage the complete sales cycle—from identifying qualified leads through product demos to closing deals—often juggling multiple prospects simultaneously. Top-performing AEs close more than 80% of opportunities, provide reliable sales forecasts, and manage their territories strategically for long-term results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities within the Mid-Enterprise customer segment.
  • Maintain and strategize pipeline management to ensure sustained success over time.
  • Collaborate closely with teams across product, engineering, partnerships, and customer success to enhance service delivery for upmarket clients.
  • Support and contribute to the success of fellow Account Executives.
  • Demonstrate accountability and consistent effort aligned with Klaviyo’s core values.
  • Mentor new Account Executives, offering guidance and expertise.
  • Innovate workflows by centralizing artificial intelligence to develop smarter systems and more efficient processes.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 8 years in sales with over 5 years specializing in SaaS or marketing technology solutions, particularly focused on new client acquisition.
  • Experience handling complex sales deals at the Mid-Enterprise and Enterprise levels.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (business development, marketing, operations, enablement, partnerships) and external parties (clients, agencies, prospects).
  • Energetic self-starter with a results-driven approach suited to entrepreneurial environments who embraces continuous learning.
  • Comfort working with strategic accounts involving multiple decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pipeline management to support sustainable growth.
  • Data-driven decision-making track record.
  • Experience developing and implementing successful sales programs in collaboration with leadership.
  • Strategic thinker with capability to create and execute sales plans.
  • Highly motivated, autonomous, and enthusiastic with a deep understanding of SaaS business models and sales economics.
  • Experience selling to eCommerce markets across Southeast Asia is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English and proficient in Bahasa or Thai to effectively engage regional clients.
  • Prior experience experimenting with AI tools in professional or personal contexts, eager to adopt innovative AI-driven workflows responsibly.
  • Authorized to work in Singapore without restrictions.

Regional Expansion

Klaviyo is expanding rapidly in the Asia-Pacific region with a growing presence in Singapore. Starting operations there six months ago, we are building our core go-to-market teams, including Sales, Pre-sales, Business Development, Customer Success, Partnerships, Marketing, and People functions. This expansion phase offers an energetic startup culture embedded within a global organization and significant growth opportunities.

Work Arrangement

This position is hybrid-based in Singapore with occasional travel up to 10% for new hire onboarding, client engagements, partner meetings, team gatherings, and industry events—scheduled in advance.
