Role Description
This position is a versatile role without a fixed portfolio, providing temporary support to various teams during absences or spikes in workload. It offers a broad exposure to different business areas and a chance to enhance claims management expertise.
Key Duties
- Facilitate cost-efficient outcomes by navigating within relevant legislation and addressing return-to-work barriers for individual claims.
- Make critical liability judgments, collect necessary information, investigate claims, and evaluate treatments and rehabilitation needs.
- Ensure timely completion of case management tasks while prioritizing a positive customer experience and prompt handling of inquiries.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with customers and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to achieve successful results.
- Contribute actively toward meeting business objectives and participate in departmental initiatives.
- Demonstrate empathy towards injured workers, supporting their recovery journey compassionately.
- Remain updated on technical knowledge across all claims management areas and comprehend legislative changes and their practical impacts.
Candidate Profile
- At least 3 years of case management experience within Tasmania Workers Compensation system.
- Proven ability to support individuals with complex injuries.
- Experience mentoring fellow case managers.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to handle multiple priorities and resource demands effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey messages clearly, persuasively, and empathetically.
- Customer-oriented with the ability to understand client perspectives genuinely.
- Capable of managing challenging situations with professionalism and responsiveness.
- Interest in adopting new technologies to stay current in a digitally evolving environment.
