Role Overview
We are seeking a Case Manager based in Darwin, NT who will oversee a portfolio of claims related to motor accidents under the Northern Territory's Motor Accident Compensation Commission (MACC). This position involves handling claims, especially for severely injured clients, from initial claim through to resolution. A key focus is collaboration and strategic case management to optimise clients’ return to health and work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage claims involving motor accident injuries, focusing on those with significant care needs.
- Maintain strategic partnerships and employ best practices in case management to facilitate return to work and health.
- Make important decisions regarding claim liabilities.
- Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders such as legal advisors, healthcare providers, and rehabilitation experts to ensure successful outcomes.
Candidate Profile
- Sound knowledge and application of relevant legislation related to personal injury claims.
- Ability to rapidly adapt and learn in a dynamic work environment while effectively collaborating with team members.
- Strong prioritization, deadline management, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Competency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Enthusiasm for integrating emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
