Senior Business Analyst - Grocery & Retail

Overview

We seek a Senior Business Analyst passionate about converting complex data into strategic business directions to drive growth in commercial, retail, and operational sectors. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop analytics initiatives aimed at business expansion, operational improvement, and strategic choices.
• Collaborate with commercial, marketing, operations, and other cross-departmental teams to identify challenges and design analytical remedies.
• Perform thorough evaluations of key accounts, business metrics, customer trends, and strategic projects to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
• Create and upkeep dashboards, reports, and automated analytical tools delivering actionable insights.
• Translate complex business queries into structured analytical tactics and data-driven plans.
• Communicate findings and insights to senior management clearly and persuasively.
• Continuously monitor crucial business indicators, identifying potential trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Support experimentation by assessing results of test-and-learn projects to measure business impact.
• Utilize advanced analytics techniques to evaluate performance and improve decision-making processes.
• Mentor team members by sharing best analytical practices and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Work hand in hand with analytics and technology teams to enhance reporting, data integrity, and BI solutions.
• Contribute to building scalable data products and environments for self-service reporting.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related discipline preferred.
• Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude and ability to translate business needs into measurable data solutions.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills capable of influencing senior leadership.
• Proficiency with data visualization and dashboard tools.
• Capability to juggle multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-moving setting.
• Proven stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration abilities.
• Detail-oriented, curious, and proactive mindset.

Technical Expertise

• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with BI and visualization platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Familiarity with large-scale databases and cloud analytics environments.
• Knowledge of Python or similar data analysis programming languages.
• Understanding of statistical modeling techniques, including regression and causal inference.

Experience

• At least 4 years in business analytics, commercial analytics, sales analytics, retail analytics, or similar domains.
• Demonstrated success in generating actionable insights that influence business strategy.
• Experience supporting senior leadership with analytical reporting and strategic advice.
• Proven leadership of complex analytics projects from initiation through implementation.
• Experience mentoring or guiding other analysts is preferred.
