Job description
About the company
Roku is a major streaming platform that connects viewers, content publishers, and advertisers across the TV ecosystem. The company focuses on expanding access to streaming television while enabling large-scale audience engagement and monetization.
About the team
The Revenue Analytics group works across advertising sales, marketing, and client services. The team is responsible for improving yield, increasing ad revenue, and making operations more efficient through strategic planning, data analysis, and modern analytics tooling.
Role overview
Roku is hiring a Senior Analyst to help automate and scale reporting and insights for Ad Sales. The role centers on Python- and SQL-based automation, analytics, and visualization that improve workflow efficiency, access to data, and decision-making. You will convert unclear business questions into structured analyses, build proofs of concept and move them into production, and collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Inventory, and Finance.
This position reports to the Manager, Ad Revenue Reporting Automation and is based in New York City. It follows a hybrid schedule, with in-office work from Monday through Thursday and the option to work remotely on Friday.
Compensation and benefits
For New York, the estimated annual salary range for this role is $127,000 to $140,000. Final compensation depends on factors such as experience, certifications, skills, and location.
The role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability coverage, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.
What you will do
- Develop Python-based reporting solutions and SQL pipelines to automate data extraction, transformation, modeling, and ad revenue analysis.
- Create, maintain, and expand Tableau and Streamlit dashboards, along with self-service data products that provide on-demand insights.
- Reframe business problems into analytical approaches and present findings, recommendations, and measurable impact in a clear way.
- Strengthen data reliability through checks, tests, monitoring, and documentation that support reuse and consistency.
- Work with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Product teams to prioritize work, increase adoption, and deliver outcomes, including use of GenAI where helpful.
What we are looking for
- Advanced skills in Python and SQL, along with sound business judgment and the ability to work well with non-technical partners.
- 5 to 7+ years of experience in analytics or data-focused roles, including pipeline development, warehouse data extraction, and workflow automation.
- Strong business intelligence experience with Tableau and/or Streamlit, including dashboard design, performance improvement, and access governance.
- Practical statistical knowledge such as regression, forecasting, and hypothesis testing applied to real-world business questions.
- Working knowledge of digital advertising and ad tech, including DSPs, SSPs, ad servers, and DMPs; experience in OTT/CTV is a plus.
- Proven ability to deliver projects from start to finish in a fast-paced environment.
Hybrid work model
Roku uses an office-first hybrid setup for this team, with in-office work from Monday through Thursday and Friday as a flexible remote day. Some roles or office locations may follow a different on-site policy.
Benefits
Roku offers a broad benefits package designed to support employees and their families. Depending on location and role, this may include mental health and financial wellness support, medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and accident insurance, disability coverage, commuter support, and retirement options such as a 401(k) or pension. Leave benefits are provided in line with local policies and personal needs.
Accommodations
Roku welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and provides reasonable accommodations during the hiring process in line with applicable law. Requests for support can be directed to the company’s employee relations contact.
Company culture
Roku values a fast-moving, collaborative culture where people focus on shared outcomes rather than individual status. The company looks for strong performers who work well with others, communicate openly, and approach problems pragmatically. Roku emphasizes bold thinking, speed, trust, and execution, with the belief that ideas only matter once they are built and delivered to customers.
