Role Overview

We are seeking dependable and cheerful School Meals Workers who take pride in their work and bring warmth to the school day as the final step in meal delivery. Your main responsibilities include heating pre-packaged meals and distributing them within schools.

Key Responsibilities

• Place pre-packed school meals into ovens and heat them according to HACCP standards.
• Distribute the heated meals to various classrooms.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and restock fruit bowls and snacks in classrooms.
• Follow prescribed work and cleaning schedules vigilantly.
• Keep accurate records of meal temperatures and cleaning.
• Participate in HACCP and Manual Handling training provided by the company.

Candidate Requirements

• Reliable, good-natured, and motivated to provide excellent service.
• Physical capability to lift up to 14kg and manage stairs as some locations lack lifts.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain a positive demeanor, particularly when interacting with children.
• Basic English reading skills to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Experience with working with children or in food service is advantageous, but not mandatory.

Work Schedule and Benefits

• Part-time role with approximately 6 working hours per day, Monday through Friday.
• Aligned with the academic calendar; employment duration covers roughly 183 days per year, with school holidays off.
